Sarah Flain
Founder and Director
Sarah is a highly experienced fundraising and communications specialist with extensive knowledge of stakeholder engagement and event management.
With a genuine passion for working with charities and not for profit organisations, she has strong leadership skills and experience in growing charity from a small annual income to over £1 million as well as setting up a successful fundraising teams. Thanks to over 15 years’ experience in fundraising, Sarah has an in depth knowledge about raising money from various funding sources including Charitable Trusts, corporate donations, individuals and community groups. She also have experience of securing ongoing revenue income and donations to benefit a specific appeal as well as legacy fundraising to ensure sustainable future income for a charity.
Sarah has been privileged to work on numerous exciting fundraising appeals and projects including a £3 million paediatric Burn Centre Appeal, a £1.5 million Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Appeal, a paediatric oncology appeal, a prostate biopsy appeal and numerous smaller appeals.
Sarah has extensive experience of strategic communications planning for major projects such as a multi million pound redevelopment programme as well as a merger between two local hospitals. Both being very sensitive and complex programmes which required significant stakeholder engagement to ensure the projects ran smoothly and to time. Sarah has also managed and advised on various media crisis and has written crisis communications plans for a large organisation.
Sarah is passionate about working with people and organisations to help them succeed and is accustomed to working with tight deadlines and having ambitious targets. With two small children, she is used to forward planning and multitasking to make sure everything gets done and thrives on creating better prospects for everyone she works with.
